It was a fun idea for a story but it eventually became ridiculous. There is no way that a modern physician would let a husband keep a miscarriage from their patient. The very idea is abhorrent. Then the twit is so desperate to keep her man that she persists in ignoring said physician's orders by sneaking up on him in his sleep. I could go on. Fortunately, Ms. Coulter's skills have greatly improved since this was written. Her heroines are no longer milksops. I'll stick to her new stories.

Great story with true to life characters, folks who.could be living next door. The adjustments from one culture to another are huge and we are narrated through them seamlessly
I did not like this book. I did not realize that it would be so sexual because when I first started reading Coulter it was the FBI books and they are wonderful. I have read all of them and enjoy them fully so I assume that this was one of her first books and it just definitely was not my taste.
I wish would put the ORIGINAL publication date in the "write-up" about their books! This was published many years ago and republished now -- it's not a good thing! Didn't even read the book -- donated it!!
I love Catherine Coulter's novels - have read most of them. This one is a bit different from the others but still in her inimitable style. Handsome, brilliant hero and just as brilliant beautiful heroine. A page turning story everyone will love.
Every once in a while I like to read something that is easy, light, and enjoyable so l usually turn to one of Catherine Coulter's books. This time it was the Aristocrat. The story was light and an easy read.
I absolutely love Catherine Coulter. Definitely note that this is one of her early books. It's a little disconcerting to read a romance book now with such a male chauvinist perspective and a weak female. Her work and dialogue has evolved so much since this book was originally published. Personally- I recommend skipping this one.
I have read Catherine Coulter years ago. Always enjoyed her stories, she writes in a way that you never realize that you ended up reading a lot longer than you planned on. As time passes and you become an elderly reader then you just can't afford her books. That is a shame.
