WOW!!!! LOVED IT!! you must read the first four books in order to jump right into this one. Really appreciate author not regurgitating alot of details from earlier books - at the same time, she's readdressing how the issues all got started all over again and even brings back some characters!

BTW --- my heart is broken... not going to say more.

While I am looking forward to book 6, I'm also already mourning the loss of the series. Looking forward to whatever Adrienne Lecter brings us next!

Resurgence Green Fields #5 eBook Adrienne Lecter Reviews

Glad to see that the romantic plot eventially matured and lost its annoying YA twinge over the course of the series. That was all that kept me from rating the prior books in the series with 5 stars. Love how the character development and plot keeps evolving in each book! (Hate it when a "series" is just the same old plot with a twist. Not the case with these books!)
I enjoyed this book very much as the others in the series. I think it did justice to the series and added some information as well as some twist I didn't expect. There were a few areas where the story started to bog down but the author was quick to turn it around. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Another amazing installment in this series! My favorite series so far! The characters, the imagery, the feelings, all together make this book seem like real life. If you are a fan of zombie fiction or post apocalyptic stories, than you cannot go wrong with these! This book really dove deep into the psyche. You feel so tense wondering what will or will not happen. That moment when you realize that the worst monsters are not the Dead come back to life, but the sick twisted humans who are not bound by laws! Really shows the depth of how horrible humans can be! This is unlike any of the previous books in that aspect. Definitely worth a read people. You will not regret it one bit!
I've loved the Green Fields series since book #1, and all of the great attributes from previous installments have been continued in book #5.
Resurgence is an excellent title for this book, defining what it means to the series. (SPOILERS AHEAD!!)

This chapter in the epic tale of Nate- and Bree(!) had given the author SO much more to expand on in future installments. It revisited people we hadn't heard from in a while- and, to my delight, even circled back to some characters we hadn't known we had always missed. Bravo, Adrienne Lecter- you've hooked this reader even more than previous installments. I can't wait for the next one!
Gripping. Hit every emotion and impossible to put down from the very first page. Loved the tender side of Nate the drama brought out and the hard as nails side of Bree emerging. Parts were tough to get through and no doubt Bree will be doing nothing but kicking booty and taking names in the next volume. Really liked the old characters and new ones that re-emerged in this one. I just have one complaint. I don't know if I'm dense, but I had a problem keeping up with Bree's mental dialogue regarding the virus. Like what the significance of the original was when she was thinking about her old boss and talking to Kat. I was slow in figuring out what exactly Nate did to hurt her as well. Was not real clear in the dialogue.
I have loved this series from the beginning even though I have also been a critic of it. Honestly, the only reason why I take the time to pick on it is because I love it so much–most likely to the chagrin of the author–but I’m clearly not the only one. It’s a good story. A very good story…and this last installment made me weep on quite a few occasions because it was heightened psychologically.

I finally felt an emotion connection to the main character because she fell down and knew she fell down. She even admitted to falling down, which made her finally truly likable in my eyes because up until this point, I didn't really know where she was going or who she really was. She was murky at best, though that it not a criticism because humans are murky and it was always believable.

I wish there were more series out there like this one. I have been growing with Brianna and this is a rare thing with this genre. I also completely disagree with the statement that this book has less action, as I’ve read from another reviewer. This book might have fewer action sequences but it has double the feeling of urgency and danger instead. It’s more psychologically thrilling than the others and I applaud the author making the exchange.
I must say I am really enjoying this series. I had my doubts during book 1, it being somewhat tedious, but I hung in there and have really loved the ride. I found all of the first five books very well written with only a few grammatical errors. Book 1 was my LEAST favorite with 2,3 & 4 the best of the five. The story-line is excellent and the interaction between the major characters are very enjoyable. The plots are complex enough to keep things interesting and the pace is usually fast and doesn't bog down. All told an enjoyable read. I hope the next three books continue to capture my interest as have the first five. JOB WELL DONE SO FAR!

Note The final requirement for a Ph.D. is a dissertation, not a thesis, and must be an original piece of research. A thesis, on the other had is the final requirement for a master's degree and is a summation of research, not necessarily being an original piece of research.
